I have bought appliances from pretty much every single company that sells them and have found that Samsung does it the best.
You buy a SONY product now days and you need a degree in engineering just to turn it on let alone use it (the Sony Bravia TV being the prime example).
Also with Samsung I know its reliable and that I am not going to be replacing it within 2 years, also that their service centre is first class.
I think the funny part is that I didn't even know about Samsung until about 5 years ago, I was of the mindset "if it ain't Sony then it aint worth having" then I had a Korean housemate who introduced me to Samsung. At that point I bought some Technology magazines and looked at comparisons between Samsung and Sony and you know what? Samsung won hands down every time. Since then My entire Entertainment system has been updated to a Samsung package and it rocks.
LG I feel is like the poor cousin that you invite to your wedding only if the cool one that will make the day go off is unavailable.
